Pain
It is encountered and observed that the potential pain while operating through FUT is more than that of FUE.
FUT vs FUE
The patient’s primary goal is to achieve maximum fullness from the hair restoration, FUT is recommended. For patients experiencing significant balding around the crown area of the head, FUT can be a better solution than FUE for better coverage and fullness.
FUE is typically more expensive than FUT. Follicles are removed individually, which makes this method costlier. Pricing usually depends on the number of grafts needed.
The good news is that the procedure itself should not cause any pain. Follicular Unit Extraction can be labor-intensive as each donor follicle has to be extracted with an instrument. Additionally, the results following the surgery can look tender and painful.

The FUT method usually leaves a tiny (1mm) line of scar at the back side of head after the treatment which is then concealed through a hair style using the hair. To its contrast, FUE treatment leaves no scars whatsoever the severity might be.
Initially FUT was quite cheap in terms of cost per hair grafts. This was purely due to the requirement of hair grafts as it would vary from person to person. But due to the rising trend of people opting for FUE, the FUE treatment is far cheaper than FUT.
